Seven Teachings of Hope

Spending four days with the people, White Buffalo Calf Woman taught them seven ways of achieving spiritual balance through Seven Sacred Teachings and ceremonial prayers:

The Sweat Lodge ritual for total purification, The Naming Ceremony for child naming, The Healing Ceremony to restore health to the body, mind and spirit, The Adoption Ceremony for the making of relatives, The Marriage Ceremony for uniting partners, The Vision Quest for communing with the Creator in search of wisdom, and The Sundance Ceremony to pray for the well-being of all.

The White Buffalo signifies a time of hope and regeneration. A symbol of abundance and manifestation, and the lesson is that one does not have to struggle to survive if the right action is joined by the right prayer. The birth of a sacred white buffalo is a sign of hope and an indication of the restoration of balance and peace to come. A time when we will remember we are all connected. The moon sends these messages to us, that there will be a new dawn.
